Ruby on Rails for .net! Castle in an open source project that provides a set of tools to simplify development in .net. I used Castle Monorail which provides an MVC framework and Castle ActiveRecord which provides a data mapper.
Recently I was persuaded to give Ruby-On-Rails a try so I went and bought the book. Then before I got a change to open the book the same person recommended The Castle Project so preferring to use C# I went straight for Castle. Now after having finished my first project, GolfNetTourney, I can say it was easier to use and faster to develop in than asp.net - and thats after having developed in asp.net for some years. It builds easily in the express visual studio editions and runs fast without all the extra asp.net overhead.
